My target was SAO 69719, near the center of the frame. The cluster is just below and to the right of the target star.

The dominant star at the center of the frame is Meissa in Orion. This is another very large cluster.

There are two prominent stars in the center of the frame, on atop the other. The upper one is Tycho 2684-1975-1. It lies just inside the cluster, the opposite side of which is up and to the right near the red nebulosity. (The photos from Canary Two on the night of October 1 – October 2 all show the same blemishes that were hard to remove.)

The cluster is in the center. The stars are so closely packed that one could mistake it for a globular cluster. There is what appears to be another cluster in the upper right corner, though I was unable to identify it. I tried several tricks to eliminate the blemishes in the photo, but they led to an even worse result, so I left the photo almost unprocessed. (These blemishes turned up in several photos taken by Canary Two on the night of September 30 – October 1.)

This cluster lies at the heart of the Rosette Nebula, seen in the red nebulosity in this photo.
43. Ruprecht 1

I targeted SAO 151676, the large star near the center of the frame. Pixinsight would not plate solve the photo, so I used the online resource Nova Astrometry. Nova identified several of the large stars in the photo. There is a large star at about four o’clock from the target star, HD 46851, the largest in that area. There are several bright stars in the upper left corner of the frame. The largest of them is HD 47183. Think of a line running from HD 46851 (lower right), through my target star, to HD 47183 (upper left.) The cluster lies to the left of this line, about a third of the way from the central target star to the lower left corner of the photo.

The cluster is fairly sparse, and lies in the center of the frame.
45. Biurakan 9 / Berkley 30

I targeted the large star in the lower right corner of the frame, SAO 114683. The cluster is a small salt-and-pepper affair, near the top of the frame, just right of center. I had to crop the photo pretty severely due to several blemishes.
46. Ruprecht

The cluster is near the bottom of the frame, just off center. It lacks any particularly bright stars. This image is Luminance only, as the LRGB integration was misaligned and blemished. It has been severely cropped as well.
47. NGC 2353

The large star near the center of the frame is SAO 152598 in Monoceros, with the cluster just above.

I targeted SAO 173719, the star near the center of the frame. The cluster lies at about 7 o’clock from that star.
