There are two bright stars near the center of the frame. To their right is a yellow star that is at the center of the cluster. The bright star in the bottom right is V2015 Cygni.

This is the only photo in the collection for which I used a galaxy to target a cluster and for which I could not verify the Trumpler Classification in the NASA database (see notes). The bright galaxy in the center of the frame NGC 7025, a magnitude 14 spiral. The cluster is to its right and is made up of a small collection of fairly bright stars, all around magnitude 8.

Two stars are near the right edge of the frame. The blue, upper one is SAO 50536. The lower, orange star is SAO 50535. Both are doubles and if you enlarge the photo I believe you can pick out their secondaries — ironically in their left horizontal diffraction spikes.

This was a challenge to capture. My usual routine is to try to identify a star in or near the cluster that I can target. In this case, I could not identify such a star. Instead, I aimed the scope and camera to the cluster’s RA Dec coordinates. I believe that the yellowish star near the left center is the brightest of the cluster. I had to crop the photo to eliminate several blemishes. (These blemishes turned up in several photos taken by Canary Two on the night of September 30 – October 1.)

The bright star at the upper left of the frame is 69 Cygnii. I think you can make out the secondary to the right.

Though the nebulosity does not appear in the photo, this cluster lies within the boundaries of the Elephant Trunk Nebula in Cehpeus. The bright star at the center of the frame SAO 33626 and the diamond shaped “star” at about 10 o’clock is actually two stars, SAO 33652 and STF 2819, itself a double.

The tight, small cluster is in the center of the frame. The bright star on the lower left is Epsilon Cephei.

I targeted the yellow star near the center of the frame, SAO 34387. The small, tight cluster is below that and a bit to the right.

I targeted the whiteish star near the center of the frame, SAO 34552. The cluster is to the right and down a bit, near the edge of the frame. (The photos from Canary Two on the night of October 1 – October 2 all show the same blemishes that were hard to remove.)

I targeted SAO 34888. A line of three stars, close together, point to it from about 7 o’clock. I believe the cluster is above the target star and to the right. The cluster is rather thin, this photo did not turn out very well, and it simply refused to be plate solved. I am doing a bit of guessing here!

I targeted SAO 20443. It is near the center of the frame, but is not the brightest star in that area. It forms the corner of a triangle of medium sized stars. The other two corner stars are reddish, and lie at about 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock to SAO 20443. The cluster is near the top of the frame, directly above SAO 20443.
